•• The Click Modifiers are viewed and changed in this area of the control panel window:

•• The Click Modifiers are for “mousers”: folks who prefer using the mouse/trackball/trackpad rather than memorizing keyboard shortcuts. Pressing one or more modifier keys and then clicking the mouse/trackball/trackpad button will activate Front&Center.
•• The Click Modifiers setting is displayed to the right of the Click Modifiers: text. shift-control means: hold down the shift and control keys before clicking the mouse button.
•• The On/Off radio buttons turn the Click Modifiers on or off (enabled/disabled). You may want to turn the Click Modifiers off if you're a “keyboarder” (see previous chapter).
‚å•‚å• Click the Change button to change the Click Modifiers. This dialog box appears:

•• Note that the caps lock key is ignored.
•• Why so many “rules”? To prevent you from accidently selecting a modifier key or combination that is used in common Mac operations. For example, you cannot select shift because shift and click is reserved for making multiple selections.
•• You cannot choose the current Click Modifers as the new Click Modifers (Front&Center will activate, since the Click Modifers are not disabled). To leave the current Click Modifers unchanged, click the Cancel button.
•• If the bottom of the main window says “Changes take effect immediately”, you can immediately try the new Click Modifiers setting.
•• If you want to quickly disable Front&Center (without restarting your Mac), turn both the Hot Key and the Click Modifiers off.
